NHS Evidence

Provided by NICE, NHS Evidence is a new service which will develop, enhance and expand the services that were previously provided by the National Library for Health (NLH). The NLH and its specialist libraries became part of NHS Evidence on 1 April 2009. Release 1 of the NHS Evidence portal and the search engine went live on 30 April 2009 at www.evidence.nhs.uk.

As part of ongoing developments, the specialist libraries have changed their names and are, as a group, called ‘specialist collections’. This individual collection is now ’NHS Evidence – musculoskeletal’ and exists primarily to support the work of NHS health professionals in the field of rheumatology in the UK.

The National Library for health can be accessed via www.library.nhs.uk.

The NHS Evidence – musculoskeletal & NHS Evidence – trauma and orthopaedics can be found at:

www.library.nhs.uk/musculoskeletal

www.library.nhs.uk/trauma_orthopaedics

PLEASE NOTE: From 1 April 2009 the National Library for Health (NLH) transferred to NICE and was incorporated into NHS Evidence.

Further updates will be provided here.
